Thank you for stopping by to visit my website. If you are a teacher looking for teaching ideas, a librarian looking for author visit details, or a student working on a book report -- you've come to the right place. For those of you with a little extra time, be sure to check out the gallery of student artwork and writing related to my books.

Put on your gold Elvis glasses and check out my newest novel, All Shook Up (ages 9 - 13)! It tells the humorous story of a 13 year old boy named Josh whose life gets “all shook up” when his dad becomes an Elvis impersonator to earn a living. BookPage called it "...alternately wry, silly, thoughtful, and laugh-out-loud funny." I met Elvises of all ages for the story and had a lot of fun writing it (and no, my own dad never pretended to be Elvis).

I know many of you are continuing to make the journey to "Canaday" with Samuel and Harrison in Trouble Don't Last. Click here if you'd like to preview the curriculum ideas and teacher's guides for this novel and my other books. Crooked River is available in paperback with a special Reader's Theater script included. All of the Above (ALA Notable) is also available in a paperback edition which includes a teacher's guide, discussion questions, and a tetrahedron model to copy.

I am currently scheduling author visits and programs for the 2008-2009 school year. My calendar fills up quickly, so if you are interested in an author visit, be sure to schedule early! (see my schedule here)
